Angela Santoni

Angela Santoni heads the Department of Molecular Medicine at the School of Medicine at the Sapienza University of Rome, where she teaches immunology and immuno-pathology. She is also the Scientific Director of the Pasteur Institute, a private non-profit foundation which specialises in biomedical research.

An immunologist by training with 40 years of experience in biomedical research, Professor Santoni has led research teams at the Laboratory of Experimental Chemotherapy and Immunodiagnosis and at the Biological Response Modifiers Program based at the National Cancer Institute - National Institutes for Health (NCI-NIH) in Bethesda (USA).

Professor Santoni is a member of several national and international committees and is on the editorial boards of several scientific publications in Europe and the USA.
