Blair Exell

Blair Exell is Australia’s first Ambassador for Regional Health Security since 13 June 2017 and currently isFirst Assistant Secretary of the Development Policy Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). A development sector specialist, Mr Exell joined the former AusAID in 1997. He has since worked in the areas of corporate policy and programming in Asia and the Pacific and was involved in the Bougainville Peace Monitoring group in 1998 and the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands in 2004. He has worked in various Asian countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands and Vietnam.

Mr Exell is a graduate in Economics from the Australian National University.
