Outsourcing Guidance Report FAQ

This FAQ describes the context and usage guidelines for the Outsourcing Guidance Report created in support of the Gavi Alliance Immunisation Supply Chain Strategy, by the Private Sector Working Group on behalf of the Supply Chain Taskforce. It explains the purpose, background, and target audience for the report aimed at providing guidance on how to outsource the logistics and delivery of vaccines and medical products to the private sector.

Outsourcing the Distribution Component of Vaccine and Medicine Supply Chains

This report focuses on how to outsource the physical distribution of vaccines and medical products to a private sector Logistics Service Provider (LSP) in sub-Saharan Africa. It analyses existing approaches to outsourcing, the challenges encountered and lessons learned, and provides a framework and toolbox to determine when and how to appropriately outsource.

Pneumococcal Advance Market Commitment: Lessons Learnt on Disease and Design Choices and Processes

This document describes early lessons learnt on the selection of a target disease, on core design choices, and on processes related to the pilot Advance Market Commitment (AMC) for pneumococcal vaccines. While ongoing monitoring and evaluations scheduled for the coming years will provide further information about the value of the Pneumo AMC, this document highlights some of the key lessons to date and aims to provide a starting point to inform discussions about the potential applications of the AMC concept to other vaccines or health and non-health interventions.

Building ownership and sustainability: Country co-financing of vaccines
