Seven health and development agencies publish joint article in The Lancet ahead of final High Level Panel meeting in Bali
Geneva, 25 March 2013 - Seven of the world’s leading health and development agencies are today calling for the High Level Panel of the post-2015 development agenda to ensure that health remains central to advance global prosperity in the post-2015 era.
While celebrating achievements in global health through the Millennium Development Goals, which have contributed to a 40 per cent reduction in the number of children dying before their fifth birthday compared to 1990, the authors emphasise the importance of a healthy population as a prerequisite for development.
