This week, @Vaccines is curated by Dr. Alan Tennenberg, the Chief Medical Officer of Global Public Health at Johnson & Johnson.

Trained as an infectious diseases physician, Dr. Tennenberg brings over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical medicine, public health and academia to his role within Global Public Health. He is responsible for building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in government, academia, multi-lateral institutions, and non-governmental organizations around the world as Johnson & Johnson, alongside partners, tackles some of the complex global health challenges. Dr. Tennenberg is also a leader in facilitating private sector engagement to advance the Global Health Security Agenda.

Over the last 100 years at least half a billion people have died in infectious disease outbreaks and epidemics. Tweeting from the World Health Summit in Berlin, Germany, Dr. Tennenberg will share how the private sector is building partnerships and advancing efforts to protect us from serious global health threats.
