Ram Ratan is the State Program Officer at the State Health Society in Patna, Bihar, with over 20 years of experience in the implementation and management of diverse public health programs. He currently oversees the Routine Immunisation Programme, Lymphatic Filariasis elimination, and Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Days (VHSND) as a part of the Government of Bihar’s State Health Society (under the Health Department). He has a keen interest in engaging with the latest scientific research and innovations to improve program effectiveness and health system performance. Under his leadership and technical guidance, the state of Bihar has achieved over 92% full immunisation coverage, marking a significant milestone in public health outcomes.
