Bruno Rivalan
Lead for Partnerships, World Bank
Bruno Rivalan brings over 15 years of experience in resource mobilisation, strategic advisory to policymakers, and governance of major global health initiatives.
Mr Rivalan currently leads Partnerships and Donor Engagement for the Health Directorate in the World Bank Group's Health Director's Office, where he supports coordination across health teams, strengthens organisational effectiveness, and helps set key priorities. He oversees delivery on the World Bank's 1.5B health target partnership agenda and shaped the design and engagement approach on the WBG supported Health Compacts.
Previously, Mr Rivalan served as lead for donor engagement for the Global Health Unit at the World Bank and Strategy Lead for the Global Financing Facility (GFF), where he developed engagement strategies for public and private donors. As primary liaison for core investors and strategic partners, his leadership contributed to mobilising US$ 2 billion in new financing and expanding the donor base in key WBG trust funds.
Before joining the World Bank, Mr Rivalan was Deputy Executive Director at Global Health Advocates France, where he led advocacy campaigns and policy research on global health and development. He also played an influential role in the governance of global health institutions, including Gavi and the Global Fund.
Mr Rivalan holds two master's degrees: one in International Development from La Sorbonne/IEDES, and another in Political Science from Paris X.
