Gavi's strategy
Gavi's strategy is a roadmap designed to respond to changes in the vaccine landscape and set five-year priorities and milestones en route to fulfilling our mission. It defines what the Vaccine Alliance will do and how it will do it over the journey ahead.
OUR 2026–2030 MISSION, TO SAVE LIVES AND PROTECT PEOPLE’S HEALTH BY INCREASING EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE USE OF VACCINES
The current five-year strategy, Gavi 6.0 (2026–2030) was approved by the Board in June 2024 – the full implementation of the strategy will see lower-income countries immunise an additional 500 million children, averting 7–8 million future deaths.

You can also learn more about our vaccine investment strategy, which we use to determine which vaccines are made available to countries through our vaccine support programmes. The latest vaccine investment strategy was approved in 2024 and covers the period 2026–2030.
