Bvudzai Priscilla Magadzire, is the Senior Technical Advisor, Research & Advocacy at Village Reach since 2016. She leads the design and execution of evidence generation in Sub-Saharan Africa, collaborating with Ministries of Health and other partners with a goal to measure impact; inform policy and practice and to support teams to responsibly transition donor funded solutions to government and/or partners. In addition, she supports regional and global immunisation advocacy efforts through active participation in technical working groups, such as the Pandemic Action Network.
Prior to joining Village Reach, Dr Magadzire was with the School of Public Health at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, for six years where she also completed her doctorate in Public Health.
Dr Magadzire has also worked in Global Health Consulting, conducting Evaluation and Research for government departments, NGOs and funder organisations operating in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She contributes as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Global Symposia on Health Systems Research and has received various awards and grants – including the Obama Africa Leaders, Skoll Emerging Leaders and research grants from the Flemish and Canadian governments.
