Cécile Billaux is Head of Unit in the Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) in charge of social inclusion and protection, health and demography. She was previously Head of Unit in charge of Trade, value chains, entrepreneurship and investment climate for more than 3 years in the same DG. She has been working for the European Commission for 20 years, holding various positions in relation to health, climate, development and trade, among those positions in the Cabinet of former EU Commissioner for Climate Change, Connie Hedegaard, and former EU Trade Commissioners, Cécilia Malmström and Phil Hogan, subsequently.
Prior to working for the Commission, Ms Billaux worked in the private sector as a consultant in public affairs for major international companies. She also holds a Master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
