Clarisse Paolini

Clarisse Paolini is currently Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human development at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign affairs. She has a background in political studies and international affairs, with extensive experience in multilateral affairs and development cooperation. As a career diplomat, she served among others at the UN security council, in the negotiations team of the Paris agreement on climate change, as Head of Cooperation at the French Embassy in Colombia and as Head of the development policy department at the French MoFA. She was also advisor to the Executive director of the Global Fund and Deputy head of the multilateral development banks unit at the French Treasury. She currently serves as vice-chair of the Strategy Committee at the Global Fund.
