Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Development, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, France
Jérémie Forrat-Jaime is Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Development at the Bureau of Sustainable Development of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs since 1 September 2022, where he oversees issues related to global health, food security, education and gender equality issues.
Prior to his current position, Mr Forrat-Jaime was Deputy to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Higher Education and Research (2020-2022) at the Bureau of Culture & Higher Education. He previously served as Political Counsellor at the French Embassy, Washington (2018-2020) and First Secretary at the French Embassy, Kuala Lumpur (2015-2018). When he joined the diplomatic corps (Oriental Executive), he was a member of the Afghanistan-Pakistan division at the Bureau of Asia and Oceania department of the Ministry.
Mr Forrat-Jaime is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO).
