Mark Lloyd

Assistant to the Administrator for Global Health and Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau of Conflict Prevention and Stabilisation (CPS), USAID

Mark Lloyd is Assistant to the Administrator for Global Health and Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau of Conflict Prevention and Stabilisation (CPS) at USAID in Washington, DC, roles he has held since 20 January 2025. In these positions, Mr Lloyd drives initiatives to advance global health equity and stabilise conflict-affected regions, forging partnerships to strengthen health systems and community resilience.

Mr Lloyd’s 40-year career spans politics, humanitarian aid and technical fields, reflecting his versatility and commitment to impact. As Director of Field Operations for Americans for Limited Government (2021–2024), he led nationwide advocacy campaigns, and from 2023 to 2024, he managed a voter education project empowering African American communities in key US cities.

Previously at USAID, he served as Senior Advisor for International Religious Freedom (2020–2021), fostering faith-based partnerships. Earlier roles include National Field Director for The New American Populist (2017–2020) and Virginia State Director for Donald J. Trump’s 2016 campaign.

His global humanitarian work includes serving as Director of Development at Gleaning for the World (2003–2004), where he travelled regularly to oversee projects around the world. He also managed drilling operations at Falwell Corporation (2006–2010), scaling sales to over US$ 1 million, and served as a Submarine Radioman in the US Navy (1978–1984), earning an honourable discharge. His leadership across sectors speaks to his influence, and his practical and professional expertise.
