Mahima Datla

Managing Director, Biological E Limited, India

Mahima Datla is the Managing Director of Biological E Limited, one of India's leading vaccine manufacturers. Having spent more than 26 years with the company, she has held leadership positions across biotechnology, operations and strategic business development. In her current role, she oversees strategic operations and leads the company's engagement on public policy and global health partnerships.

Ms Datla has extensive experience in the vaccine and biotechnology sector and has played a prominent role in advancing access to vaccines in developing countries. She previously served as President of the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN) and was a member of its Steering Committee. She currently represents DCVMN on the Board of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

In addition to her executive role, Ms Datla serves on several boards and advisory bodies, including the Global Health Innovative Technology (GHIT) Fund, the Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life Sciences, the Public Health Foundation of India, and the Indian Institute of Public Health. She is also Vice-Chairperson of the Life Sciences Advisory Committee of the Government of Telangana.

Ms Datla holds a degree in Business Administration from Webster University, London, and completed the International Executive Programme in Business Finance at the London School of Economics. She has received numerous recognitions for her leadership and contributions to the biopharmaceutical sector, including the Dr. B. S. Bajaj Memorial Award and Business Person of the Year by BioSpectrum.
