Felix Kabange

Félix Kabange the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning and Housing of the Democratic Republic of Congo since May 2017.

Previous positions include Minister of Land Affairs (December 2016-May 2017), Minister of Public Health (April 2012-December 2016), Provincial Minister for the Environment, Tourism, Sports, Culture and Arts (2010–2012) and Provincial Secretary of the Katanga Medical Council (2002–2009). Minister Kabange is also a former President of the political party “l’Eveil de la Conscience pour le Travail et le développement (ECT)”.

Alongside his medical career, Minister Kabange has been actively involved in non-profit organisations. For 11 years he chaired the Federation for a New Civilisation, an NGO fighting HIV/AIDS, and the Centre de Recherche pour le Développement Intégré. He was the CEO of Radio Télé Canal Lubumbashi for 5 years, from 2005 to 2010, and before that, Director of Programmes for the Phoenix Radio at Lubumbashi University.

A medical doctor by profession, Minister Kabange is also the Head of Research at the Faculty of Medicine at Lubumbashi University (Democratic Republic of Congo).
