In September 2020, Colombia, through the “Agencia Presidencial de Cooperación Internacional” (APC Colombia), contributed US$ 500,000 to the Gavi COVAX AMC in support of the development and delivery of COVID-19 vaccines to low- and middle-income countries. This marks APC Colombia’s first contribution to the Vaccine Alliance, as well as the first contribution from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) region.

APC Colombia aims to manage, guide and technically coordinate public, private, technical and financial non-reimbursable international cooperation received and granted by Colombia. It also implements, manages and supports the channelling and execution of international cooperation resources, programmes and projects in accordance with foreign policy objectives and the National Development Plan.
