Iceland joined Gavi in 2018 and has committed a total of US$ 1 million and 300 millionIcelandic krónur (US$ 3 million) to Gavi’s programmes through direct financial contributions. Iceland has been a committed supporter of Gavi, with a particular focus on improving maternal and child health through immunisation.

In 2018 Iceland committed US$ 1 million towards immunisation in Malawi.

At the Global Summit: Health & Prosperity through Immunisation in June 2025, Iceland committed 300 million Icelandic krónur (US$ 2 million for the Gavi 6.0 strategic period 2026–2030.

Iceland committed 1 billion Icelandic krónur (US$ 8 million) to the Gavi COVAX AMC.
