The role of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers’ Foundation (IFPW Foundation) is to help its members and stakeholders advance the safe, efficient and continuous access to pharmaceuticals worldwide through the promotion of global distribution practices and services.

At Gavi’s Reach Every Child Pledging Conference in Berlin, the IFPW Foundation announced a new three-year partnership aimed at increasing the expertise of supply chain managers by supporting supply chain training centres in East and West Africa, within Gavi’s supply chain strategy. The pledge has been matched by the UK Government through Gavi’s Matching Fund, bringing the sum to US$ 3 million. In 2018, the IFPW Foundation partnered once again with Gavi to support the scale-up of its Strategic Training for Executive Programme (STEP) with an additional grant of US$ 1.3 million.
