Hungary became a donor to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in 2025, making a first-ever contribution of €1 million (US$ 1.2 million) to Gavi’s 2026–2030 strategic period (Gavi 6.0). The pledge reflects Hungary’s commitment to global health, solidarity, and protecting the health of children and families.

Hungary’s support aligns with priorities around child health, health security, resilience and equitable access to vaccines, helping ensure that vulnerable communities can continue to access routine immunisation services and life-saving vaccines, while strengthening preparedness for disease outbreaks.
