Established in May 2015, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) serves as Saudi Arabia’s principal humanitarian assistance agency. It manages and coordinates the Kingdom’s international relief efforts, working with United Nations agencies and local and international humanitarian organisations. Its activities are guided by humanitarian need and span a broad range of sectors, including health, food security, nutrition, shelter, protection, education, water and sanitation, logistics and emergency response.

In December 2021, KSrelief signed a contribution agreement with Gavi for 20 million Saudi riyals (US$ 5.3 million) to support countries eligible for support through the Gavi COVAX AMC.
