The Russian Federation is one of six donors to the Gavi Pneumococcal Advance Market Commitment (AMC). In February 2007, Russia committed US$ 80 million for the period 2010–2019 to launch the first AMC to help accelerate the development and availability of pneumococcal vaccines.
