The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is a long-standing partner of Gavi and was one of the main members of the Audacious Alliance alongside ELMA Foundation and Virgin Foundation, who together contributed a total of US$ 18 million to Living Goods and Last Mile Health (2016–2020).

At the Global Vaccine Impact Conference in June 2023, CIFF and Gavi together announced a US$ 30 million co-investment, comprising a US$ 15 million contribution from CIFF and a US$ 15 million match through the Gavi Matching Fund, to reach zero-dose children through an integrated immunisation, nutrition and social protection programme in Ethiopia.

Implemented by UNICEF Ethiopia from 2024–2026, the programme has generated important evidence on integrated service delivery demonstrating how immunisation and nutrition interventions can be delivered together to reach under-served children more effectively. The initiative has also provided a practical learning platform for Gavi and partners to better understand the operational considerations, opportunities and challenges associated with integrated immunisation and nutrition programming.
