In January 2015, the Sultanate of Oman announced a pledge of US$ 3 million for the 2016–2020 strategic period.
The Sultanate of Oman contributed US$ 1 million to the Gavi COVAX AMC after announcing the pledge at the Gavi COVAX AMC Summit, One World Protected, in June 2021.
Together, these commitments reflect Oman’s engagement with Gavi since 2015, spanning both the Alliance’s core mission and the multilateral response to COVID-19. Oman’s support is consistent with its broader commitment to international solidarity and equitable access to vaccines. During the United Nations General Assembly in 2020, Oman described the fair distribution of vaccines as a shared humanitarian responsibility, particularly towards countries with limited health resources.
