Scotland became a donor to Gavi’s core programmes in 2023, contributing £712,000 (approximately US$ 876,000) in connection with the Scottish government’s focus on expanding access to, and uptake of, the HPV vaccine in Gavi-supported countries administering this programme, including Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda.

Through its International Development Fund (IDF), Scotland aims to support and empower its partner countries – Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia and Pakistan – via development assistance (aid) projects, capacity-strengthening initiatives and commercial investment initiatives.
