Alexandra Rudolph-Seemann, Germany is Senior Policy Officer for Global Health Policy and Financing responsible for German cooperation with Gavi and UNICEF. She joined the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in 2017. She served as a Governing Council Member of the Financial Sector Reform and Strengthening Initiative (FIRST), a Trust Fund at the World Bank. She also managed the preparation of the Africa Deliverables of BMZ during the German European Union Presidency in 2020. She has worked in the Ministry on financial inclusion and micro insurance, policy issues of cooperation with Africa and sustainable transformation of global supply chains.
Dr Rudolph-Seemann is an economist who specialised in development cooperation and political economy. She was a researcher at the University of Göttingen and Heidelberg University, as well as with the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) in Jakarta, Indonesia. She also worked for the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) in Bonn, Germany. Dr Rudolph-Seemann has done research on different topics including determinants of human trafficking and social security systems in developing countries. She has managed and organised research workshops, participated in expert rounds on human trafficking and has experience in the moderation of large panels.
